Unlocking the brain: A workshop on how we process information
About the event
During this interactive workshop, we will explore media literacy as a tool for building resilience in two key ways. First, we focus on the practical aspects of protecting our online presence by engaging in a “Dox Yourself” exercise, which helps participants identify and understand the personal information they may be unintentionally exposing on the internet. This exercise equips individuals with the knowledge and strategies needed to safeguard their digital footprint effectively. Secondly, we delve into the cognitive processes involved in consuming and interpreting information, shedding light on the limits of how we absorb and process new content. By understanding these boundaries, participants can develop critical awareness and a more thoughtful approach to navigating the media landscape.
