Slavica Vlahovic (1961) left Sarajevo shortly before the war and ended up in Cologne, where she works as a journalist, author, and media educator, including for Lie Detectors and WDR ( “West German Broadcasting Cologne”, a German public-broadcasting institution). She was nominated for the European Media Prize for Integration with her series My Neighbor, the Unknown Being.
