Therese Comodini Cachia is a human rights lawyer, academic and former politician. Apart from serving as a legal consultant, Therese is a senior lecturer at the University of Malta lecturing in Human Rights Law. As a lawyer, she has pleaded before the national courts and the European Court of Human Rights representing victims of violations of human rights. She represents the family of Daphne Caruana Galizia before the courts and at the public inquiry following her assassination. Therese runs the legal support programme for journalists, a project of the Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation which is supported by the UNESCO Global Media Defence Fund.
