Karla Sabljić

Karla Sabljić, a 21-year-old student with a clear vision for the future, comes from Bosnia and Herzegovina and has been forging her path in Dubrovnik for the past three years. She completed her elementary and high school education in the small town of Ljubuški before moving to Dubrovnik, where she is currently studying Media and the Culture of Society at the University of Dubrovnik’s Faculty of Media and Public Relations. She is also actively involved in the DU-CHECK project, working tirelessly to strengthen media literacy and combat misinformation.

An aspiring journalist, Karla is passionate about exposing fake news and promoting fact-checking through her work with DU-CHECK. Her commitment to truth and transparency is not just academic—it is a mission she wholeheartedly pursues. While journalism is her current focus, her ambitions extend beyond the media. With a strong interest in public speaking and politics, she believes that real change comes from a clear vision, powerful words, and the courage to speak up. Karla is not just an observer—she is a voice for those seeking the truth, a bridge between information and citizens. Her goal? A society where knowledge and critical thinking serve as shields against manipulation.
