Can we believe our own eyes? Steering clear from deep-fakes and visual misinformation

About the event

Research has long revealed the persuasive power of visuals -ranging from photographs, illustrations, infographics, to memes and videos- often surpassing the impact of textual communication. This very strength makes them vulnerable tools for disinformation and misinformation. This session peels back the layers of this challenge, unravelling the complexities of how visuals can be harnessed for deceptive purposes.

Join us as we not only dissect the problem but actively seek innovative solutions to counteract the misuse of visuals in the realm of information/driven society.
