As part of the European team of journalists at Investigate Europe, Nico Schmidt collaborates with colleagues from several EU countries. Together, they have uncovered significant stories, including how, despite sanctions, Western companies continued to ship aircraft parts to Russia and the unequal access to life-saving medicines across Europe. These investigations would not have been possible without cross-border cooperation. Nico Schmidt is also currently a fellow of the Pulitzer Center’s AI Accountability Programme.
