Verena Sophie Maier has been working for ORF (the Austrian national public broadcaster) since 2019. She is an experienced journalist both in radio and television. She reported amongst other things on the recent parliamentary elections in Sweden, on EU summits, the devastating earthquakes in Morocco and Turkey, as well as the Turkish parliamentary and presidential elections.  As a young journalist, Verena Sophie Maier attaches particular importance to reaching young people. For @zeitimbild on TikTok and Instagram, she reported on important European issues from various EU countries before the 2024 EU elections. The trip took her to Estonia, Bulgaria, Italy, and France, among others. Since 1 September 2024, Verena has been a correspondent in the ORF office in Brussels.
