Piermarco Aroldi

Piermarco Aroldi is a Full professor at the Faculty of Education, Universit√† Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and Piacenza, where he teaches ‘Sociology of culture and communication’, ‘Childhood, adolescence and media cultures’ and ‘Sociology of digital media’.


After graduating in Modern Literature and obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Sciences, he earned a PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research. His scientific interests revolve around media studies, particularly television and the Internet, with a focus on audience studies, media experience, and media literacy and education. Since 2013 he has served as the director of OssCom, a Research Centre on Media and Communication at Universit√† Cattolica. He coordinates the Master’s Degree in Media Education and is the Scientific Director of the Master’s Course ‘Communicating Sport’. He is an Italian member of the ‘EU Kids Online’ and ‘CO:RE Children Online: Research Evidence’.
