We are humans, hear our stories – A human library on journalist safety
About the event
The safety of journalists is a critical issue that impacts not only the individuals involved but also the broader fabric of democracy, freedom of expression, and access to information. Threats against journalists can take many forms: physical violence, legal challenges, online harassment, political pressure, and censorship. Some journalists are forced to flee their countries and report from exile. In the worst cases, journalists may even face death.
This session will address the topic of journalist safety through personal testimonials from various journalists. You will have the opportunity to meet them, ask questions, and hear their stories firsthand.
