Celine Mc Gillycuddy works in Media development as an Assistant Director for Coimisiún Na Meán, Ireland’s media regulator. With +20 years media industry experience, she has designed and oversees the administration of the new Digital Transformation Funding Scheme which provides support to media organisations in areas such as digital upskilling, consultancy and capital technology costs. She specialises in Media funding which, within Coimisiún na Meán, further encompasses significant public platform neutral schemes supporting journalism including the Courts Reporting, Local Democracy Reporting and News Reporting Schemes. Having worked In Ireland and the UK as a journalist, TV producer and Head of TV Programming, she is passionate about the importance of these schemes which support the creation of accessible high-quality public interest news and current affairs content, tackle disinformation and enable significant digital transformation.
