Chiara Brilli

Professional journalist from Tuscany. She has worked since 2001 at Controradio, a historic Tuscan radio broadcaster. In 2023, she was appointed Editorial Director of Controradio, becoming the first woman in the station’s history to hold the position and one of the few in the Italian radio and television broadcasting landscape. She is Vice-President of the Tuscan Press Association and has held collective roles within the journalists’ union (including National Councillor of the FNSI and Chair of the Radio and TV Commission of Assostampa Toscana).

She covers a range of topics including economics, the biomedical sector, politics and trade union issues; the third sector; accurate reporting to counter gender-based violence; and the promotion of local cultural experiences. She is a public communicator and moderator of institutional and training events. She is also the author and editor of publishing projects telling stories about women and social issues, such as the books Sono ancora viva and Donne Capovolte (Le Lettere). Mother of two daughters, she graduated in transverse flute from the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence.
