Frédéric Munsch

Frédéric Munsch is a French photojournalist. For over 11 years, he has covered conflicts and crises while working in close proximity to civilian populations. His work has taken him to Ukraine, the Gaza border, the occupied Palestinian territories and Lebanon.

His career has brought him into contact with intelligence agencies; he’s been arrested and interrogated at the Syrian border and in Ukraine and was even detained by Hezbollah and imprisoned in Lebanon while carrying out his work. Frédéric’s aim is to stay as close as possible to reality and shed light on the human stories that conflicts sometimes seek to erase. In the age of AI, he sees photographers as more vital than ever.
