This workshop introduces teachers to universal approaches teaching critical thinking and digital media literacy, across age groups and subject areas. Teachers learn the basics of online disinformation, fact-checking techniques and tools to resist online polarisation. Group work on practical examples facilitates peer learning and explores information perspectives, enabling subsequent classroom work.
At the end of the workshop, teachers will be equipped to discuss critical thinking in a digital media world with their classrooms.
