Follow the money: the voices of collaborative investigation

About the event

Collaborative data-driven reporting has transformed how journalists probe complex financial networks across borders. Drawing on four investigations published at different times and scales (Minotaur Captured in Greece, the European CumEx Files, the global Panama Papers, and EBU’s recent Hawala, the world’s underground bank), this panel looks at how reporters, scraping countless property auctions, analysing financial leaks, court files, and transaction records, combine data, documents, sources and local expertise to uncover stories that no single newsroom could piece together alone. It focuses on how fragmented, technical data can turn into stories the public can actually grasp and act on.

Our speaker lineup is still growing. More names will be announced soon.
