In the face of the escalating climate crisis, rampant climate-related disinformation, and media landscapes increasingly warped by political and corporate pressure, it is vital that journalists can report on environmental issues, especially given that the 2024 UNESCO World Press Freedom Day was themed ‘Journalism in the face of the environmental crisis’.

This debate will bring together an environmental journalist, an individual case of a person affected by an environmental scandal, and a scientist to discuss environmental scandals and the climate crisis.
