Bussiness and hooligans in modern football

About the event

There was a time when football was not broadcast live. To watch a match, you had to be inside the stadium. It was on the terraces that communities were born, along with rivalries that often extended far beyond the boundaries of sport.

From those early supporters emerged organised fan groups, ultras and hooligans. At the same time, football was transformed into a global industry. Today, matches are broadcast around the world, yet tickets are often becoming unaffordable for the very people who built terrace culture. What place do traditional supporters have in modern football? Ηow can the cultures of ultras and hooligans coexist with a sport that now operates as a multinational business?
