About the event
Fieldwork across the globe isn’t getting any safer, emphasizing the critical need for journalists to recognise, respond, and intervene effectively in traumatic emergencies. Led by expert facilitators Grant Wootton from Objective Travel Safety Ltd, HEST, and the EBU Academy, along with Nathalie Labourdette (formerly at EBU Academy), this workshop is tailored specifically for journalists to equip them with life-saving skills.
Learning objectives
- Gain crucial knowledge on recognizing and responding to traumatic emergencies in the field, tailored for journalists’ needs.
- Learn effective intervention strategies that can make a difference in life-threatening situations.
- Explore practical scenarios to apply your skills and knowledge, preparing you for the unpredictable nature of fieldwork as a journalist.
