Media literacy and critical thinking for today’s classrooms
About the event
Being an educator today is filled with many challenges, especially when it comes to helping young people develop critical thinking skills in an increasingly digital world. Social media and the internet can be powerful — and often necessary — teaching tools, but they also expose students to harmful content, disinformation, and misleading narratives.
In this journalist-led workshop, local educators will learn practical ways to engage with schoolchildren over the long term, strengthen their resilience to polarisation, and use interactive games and fact-checking tools in the classroom. This workshop is delivered by Lie Detectors with the support of INDIRE.
