Seen, heard and tusted: Quality journalism and media Literacy in the age of AI
About the event
What if quality journalism were one of the strongest tools for media literacy? When people distrust the news, it is rarely about factual errors alone – they feel unseen, unheard or misrepresented, and that disconnection is fertile ground for disinformation. In an AI-driven information environment, the disciplines of verification and ethical practice matter more than ever. This interactive workshop by the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA) focuses on ethical, empathetic interviewing: how journalists can listen more carefully, represent diverse experiences responsibly and build trust – and how the same skills help audiences navigate information. It is dedicated to educators, journalists and students.
