Who needs journalists? AI and the future of our newsrooms

About the event

AI is already reshaping how journalists find, analyse, produce, verify and distribute news. The question is no longer whether newsrooms will use AI, but where to draw the line. What should we delegate to machines, and what must remain rooted in human judgement and accountability? As audiences increasingly encounter journalism through AI summaries, search and assistants, new questions emerge around trust, visibility and credit for original reporting. Bringing together newsroom leaders, researchers and civil society, this session will explore what works, what doesn’t, and the editorial choices shaping journalism’s future.

Our speaker lineup is still growing. Names will be announced soon.
