Meron Rapoport

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, journalist in the last 30 years in various newspaper in Israel. Winner of the Napoli International Prize for Journalism for a inquiry about the stealing of olive trees from their Palestinian owners in 2003 and winner of the 2024 edition of Colombe d’Oro prize for journalism.

 

In 2004 I joined Haaretz where I have served as Head of the News Department and later as a writer for the weekend magazine on various issues including Jerusalem, settlements and human rights inside Israel.

 

Since 2018, I’m an editor and writer in Local Call/972Mag, an Israeli-Palestinian independent news outlet. I also contribute to international publication such a The Nation, The Guardian, Middle East Eye and others.

 

I am co-founder and co-president of A Land for All (Two States One Homeland), an Israeli-Palestinian movement promoting a confederal solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
