Virginia Padovese is an expert on disinformation and serves as Managing Editor and Senior Vice President of Partnerships for Europe at NewsGuard.

Born in Italy, she graduated in Communication Sciences from the University of Trieste in 2004. She then moved to Australia, where she worked for ten years as a radio journalist and digital producer for the Italian-language program of Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), Australia’s multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster.

In 2018, she relocated to New York and began focusing on disinformation at NewsGuard. Virginia Padovese has delivered lectures, seminars, and talks on disinformation at several universities, journalism festivals, and institutional events, engaging students, academics, policymakers, and media professionals.
