Will Cope is the Deputy Dean (Education) in the School of Creative Industries at Southampton Solent University in England. He is responsible for curriculum(educational) development of many undergraduate and post graduate courses in the creative sector, including degrees in film, television, media and journalism. His area of specialism is broadcast journalism and more precisely sports journalism. He has been working as a sports reporter, presenter and commentator for 25 years and was commentating on English Premier League football for Sky Sports in the UK before his 30th birthday!  He still works as a freelance broadcaster across a range of projects, programmes and productions. 

In addition, he is an educational consultant for UK Universities and sits on the board of the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA). He was educated in both the UK at The University of Manchester and in the US at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
