Alexander Fanta is an investigative journalist with Follow the Money, specialising in EU tech and media policy. Alexander is an FOI veteran who has filed requests globally, breaking numerous stories based on legally obtained documents.

His complaint to the European Ombudsman helped expose the “Pfizergate” affair about text messages between Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.

He is a co-founder of “Journalists in Europe for Transparency” network and co-writer of the Secrecy Tracker newsletter.
