AI, big tech and wellbeing
About the event
Your feed is designed to keep you scrolling, and to make every choice feel like your own. With AI and Big Tech concentrated in the hands of a few private players, the systems that shape what we see were never built around the public interest. Engagement models reward speed, outrage and emotion, amplifying disinformation, stretching screen time and normalising toxic interaction. This debate asks what it would take to realign digital ecosystems with citizens’ wellbeing: where responsibility lies between users and platforms, what regulation should do, and which skills we need to keep our autonomy as persuasive machines become indistinguishable from humans.
Our speaker lineup is still growing. Names will be announced soon.
