This session will feature the fifth instalment of The Truth Effect, a documentary series by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF) about the people on the front lines of the fight against disinformation in Europe. In this episode, exiled journalists from the Belarusian Investigative Centre talk about the reach of Russian propaganda among diaspora communities in the EU, and the challenge of reaching people already exposed to it. The film follows their work beyond traditional journalism, including the online shows they produce to connect with audiences and keep independent reporting alive from exile. It will be followed by a Q&A with its director Andrii Pichyienko and producer Youssef Zeineddine.
