At the age of 15, Sajid Khan Nasiri escaped alone from Afghanistan, facing a perilous two-year journey documented on his phone camera. Fleeing the dangers of the Taliban after his father’s death, he navigated through Iran and Turkey, encountering violent authorities and hostile civilians on his way to seeking asylum in Belgium. The documentary, a sequel to the award-winning Shadow Game, explores the mental challenges faced by unaccompanied minors like Nasiri, highlighting the psychological pressure, distrustful authorities, and disturbing messages from their home countries, as they strive to start anew in Western Europe.
