Maria Luisa Stasi

Maria Luisa Stasi is Head of Law and Policy for digital markets at ARTICLE 19. She is a competition lawyer by background with expertise in media, telecoms, and digital sectors. In the past, she worked as a competition associate at Bonelli Erede law firm, followed by a five-year tenure in the academic and policy arena. During this time, she dealt with regulatory reforms associated with internet-led disruptions and provided training to judges and enforcers on competition, telecoms, and media laws.

Presently, she spearheads ARTICLE 19’s law and policy endeavours concerning digital markets, with a focus on utilising economic regulation and competition law and policy to bolster the safeguarding of free expression online. Maria Luisa holds an LLM from the College of Europe in Bruges and is a PhD researcher at Tilburg Law School.
