Rita Aničić is a 20-year-old second-year student at the Division of Communication and Media at the University of Split. She presents an activist show on the student radio station, Radio Kampus, providing media space for local and student non-profit organisations in an effort to raise awareness of underrepresented topics in the local media. She has served as a moderator for university-led events, including the Ceremonial Awarding of the Prize for Science at the University of Split and the Rector’s Award of the University of Split. Rita has also taken part in the student panel “Media Literacy Projects,” where she and a colleague presented the project “New Media Possibilities: Bradata Aukcija,” which showcases an example of activist work developed in the city of Split. Her main passion is creating media platforms for non-profit organisations and associations, ensuring that activists’ voices are heard on a larger scale.
