Samrita Menon is an Associate Programme Specialist in the Media and Information Literacy Unit at United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquarters based in Paris. She has worked at the Organisation for over 4 years, advancing the implementation of UNESCO’s capacity-building programmes for members of the judiciary and law enforcement on freedom of expression, access to information and related topics.

Previously, she worked at The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on policy advice and digital transformation of the public sector. She has a background in political science and public policy, and a diploma in conflict transformation and peacebuilding. Through her engagement in civil society organisations in India, she has also been active in education policy reform.
