Elena Coden
Elena Coden is a Communications Assistant at the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) within the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute (EUI), where she manages digital communications across social media and the website, supports press relations, contributes to graphic design and video editing, and assists with event coordination and general administrative tasks. She also works as Communications Assistant for the Voices Festival at the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom, supporting copywriting, newsletter management, event organisation, admin support, and website management.
Previously, Elena was a Communications Trainee at EDMO and a Communications Assistant at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, where she managed social media channels, updated websites, and collaborated on digital communications and event coverage across academic programmes.
Before joining the EUI, she worked as Social Media Manager for Paciu Maison, an art gallery, and held a communications role at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, supporting events and public engagement activities. She holds a Master’s degree in Gender, Sexuality, and Culture from University College Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in Museum Education and Communication from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
