As a Policy Officer for European Affairs at Deutsche Welle, Isabella Venturini works at the intersection of media freedom, digital rights and European policy. Her advocacy focuses on safeguarding press freedom and supporting initiatives that help protect access to independent information, including through internet freedom and circumvention tools.

Before taking on her current role, she worked within the media development department of DW Akademie, contributing to international projects focused on media literacy and strengthening film industries in the Global South. In these roles, she gained practical experience in project planning, implementation, and cross-cultural collaboration.
