Mustafa Kuleli
Mustafa Kuleli is a journalist, storyteller, and media advocate working where journalism, democracy, and visual narrative meet. He began his career in newsrooms as a reporter, editor, and presenter before shifting his focus to strengthening the craft itself.
In 2013, during the Gezi Park protests, he became the youngest elected trade union leader in Turkey, modernising the Journalists’ Union of Turkey and championing press freedom in a rapidly changing media landscape. He later founded Journo, a digital magazine reimagining journalism for new audiences, and launched TGS Academy, a training hub for emerging media skills.
Elected in 2019 to the European Federation of Journalists Steering Committee and later serving as its Vice President.
He continues to explore new ways to tell stories and support independent content creation.
