Frits-Willem van der Hoeven is co-owner and creative director of Bendertainment Productions, a Dutch production company that makes news and entertainment for Gen Z.

He has been making media for three years and he’s one of the makers behind BENDERBIJ, a street journalism channel launched in 2023 that now has more than 1.3 million followers across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Its footage of the Maccabi riots in Amsterdam in 2024 was picked up worldwide and in 2025 Reuters listed it among the most influential news creators in the Netherlands.

The channel was nominated for the biggest prestigious media awards in the Netherlands (Televizier-Ring) in 2025 and 2026.
