Tiko Tsomaia is a professor of journalism and communication at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in Tbilisi. Her career encompasses education, journalism, communications, research and training. She serves as a board member of the European Journalism Training Association. She acts as Georgia’s country representative at the European Observatory on Femicide.

Tsomaia manages www.femicide.ge, a platform aimed at raising public awareness about femicide. She also founded the “Open Movement,” which fosters open conversations on mental health issues. An expert speaker on journalism education, Tsomaia has considerable experience organizing large-scale media and communication projects.
